In 2019, John Micheal, a devoted leather artisan, co-founded Leatherings with one belief:

As a master crafter, John leads every step of the process (designing, cutting, stitching, and finishing) each piece by hand in Leatherings’ atelier.

Growing up near the leather workshops of Montana, John was fascinated by how raw hides could be transformed into timeless pieces. He pursued design school to refine his artistic vision and later trained under renowned artisans to master traditional leatherworking techniques.

As the co-founder and soul behind Leatherings, John Micheal weaves old-world craftsmanship with modern tailoring. He creates leather jackets that embrace every body, ranging from timeless classics to aspirational designs born to honor those who served.
